Empower people – what leaders decide, model and prioritise.
Your concern
Priorities compete. A strategy needs to change, or it exists on paper but does not reach the people who have to carry it. A leadership team disagrees on direction, or a leader faces a crisis, a difficult decision or a change process.
Working together
THAC helps leaders and teams agree on a direction, make choices and turn them into a workable plan – and keeps the people in view who will carry it.
- Strategic advice and mentoring for leaders and leadership teams.
- Strategy reviews – what a strategy already provides for, what remains open, and whether strategy and portfolio fit together.
- Workshops and training on strategic leadership, systems thinking and leading under pressure.
Relevant experience
- One Swiss strategy for the Horn of Africa (Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, 2012–2014). Responsible for the strategy paper and the process under the head of division – drafting, consultation across federal offices and submission to the Federal Council – and then for coordinating its implementation.
- Leading an international media organisation (Fondation Hirondelle, 2006–2007). Director (CEO), responsible for programmes, staff, budgets and fundraising, including Radio Okapi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
- Training leaders (THAC, Institute for Peace and Dialogue, Basel, since 2015). Trainer in strategic leadership, systems thinking and trauma-informed leadership for leaders from many countries and sectors.
